About this app

DrumMate turns your drumming into a full band.

Play your MIDI e-drum kit (or the on-screen pads) and DrumMate listens, locks to your tempo and feel, and plays along in real time. Bass, keys, pad and a lead line follow YOU, not a fixed click. Speed up, lay back, hit harder, and the band moves with you.

HOW IT WORKS
- Plug in a MIDI e-drum kit, or tap the built-in pads.
- Hit play. DrumMate finds your tempo and groove, and the band joins in.
- Stop and the band rests; start again and it rejoins. No metronome to chase.

THE BAND
- Bass, keys, pad and lead, each its own part with its own volume.
- Pick a style and key, or let it choose. Use the built-in chord progressions, or import your own MIDI chords.
- Song sections, swing, and a staccato-to-legato feel control.
- Lock-to-my-hits mode: your kick drives the bass, your cymbal changes the chord.

THE SOUND
- A warm, built-in virtual-analog synth engine, editable per part: attack, decay, filter cutoff, resonance, filter slope, vibrato, glide and stereo width.
- A per-part mixer with independent bass, keys, pad and lead levels, plus reverb.

EUCLIDEAN MODE
- Generative rhythms spread evenly around the bar, shown as live circular "necklace" rings (one per part) with a playhead that sweeps on the beat. The pattern thickens as you dig in.

CONNECT
- MIDI in for e-drum kits and controllers, MIDI out to drive external gear or a DAW.
- On-screen pads for when you do not have a kit handy.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- Works fully offline. No account, no sign-in, no ads, no tracking.

Whether you are practicing, writing, or just jamming, DrumMate gives you a band that actually listens.
Play your e-drum kit and a full band follows you in real time.

What’s new

New: loop cycling. Load several bar loops and a hit on the Tom (or a pad you pick) switches to the next, like the pad samples.

Also:

- Budget phones stay smooth. If a phone cannot keep up, the band drops a voice instead of sliding into lag and crackle.
- Bar loops settle on the right length, and you can override it (1, 2, 4 or 8 bars).
- The pads sit still. The live timing numbers moved off them, so nothing jumps under your hands.

Thanks for playing and for the reports.
