Two photos. Two names. Which is which?

DuoNat teaches you to recognise species the way naturalists actually learn them: by comparing. Every round puts two real photographs from iNaturalist side by side and asks you to match each name to its organism. Get the same pair right three times running and it's yours.

LEARN A SET, NOT A LIST
Pick a group you care about — toucans, hawks, swallowtails, the mushrooms in your area — and keep it to a size you can actually finish. A counter tracks how many taxa in your collection you have learned. Learn them all, then confirm each one against a new partner, then take on a harder level. Nobody learns birds by studying ten thousand at once.

Every pair comes with a common-ancestry tree showing exactly where the two species part company. Browse the entire tree of life as an interactive graph and pick any branch to play.

FACTS YOU CAN CHECK
Many taxa carry a handful of genuinely interesting facts, each with a link to the source it came from, so you can follow it further on Wikipedia or iNaturalist.

SHARE IT
