Effera is a video editor for your phone. Touch the preview while the video plays, drag a caption or effect, and that path is kept as motion. Drag while paused, and only the position on the current frame changes. You place an object, then keep moving it with the picture.
Imported video and photos are edited on the device. No account is required. The exported video matches the preview you edited. You can work in a vertical 9:16 frame or a horizontal 16:9 frame. When the clip and the frame have different shapes, drag the picture to choose what stays in view.
Use it for talking-head clips, games, events, and short introductions. Add moving text and FX to a video already on your phone.
Playback and motion
Start playback on the timeline, then drag captions, FX, effects you built, and stamps on the preview. The path your finger takes becomes motion over time. A drag while paused changes only the moment you are looking at. Stamps you scaled or rotated can be dragged again to line them up. Slow the preview down when the position has to be exact. Hide a full-frame effect when you need to reach the clip or stamp underneath.
Captions, subtitles, and text
Place emphasis, punchlines, titles, and spoken subtitles on the video. Change how the text looks, and move it as the video plays. On the device, Effera can help with speech-to-subtitles, grouping by speaker, and cleaning up subtitle text. Accuracy depends on the recording and the phone, and the result may not match what you expect. Read every line and correct it yourself. A model may download the first time you use this help. There is no extra charge for it. You can also include spoken audio read from a caption in the export.
Effects, FX, and stamps
Place a built-in effect at the moment it should appear. Drag it during playback and it moves across the frame. Build your own composite effect from parts, then place that effect on the video. Effera-chan and Effisto XIII are home themes, and you can also place them as stamps.
Tracing
Beams, sparks, lightning, and similar lines stay where you trace them on the preview. Use them when a light stroke should follow the action.
Cuts, timeline, and transitions
Cut out the parts you do not need, and arrange what remains in order. Between clips you can add a transition such as a crossfade or a push. Playback through several still images is less likely to stop at the boundary. Each clip can have its own playback speed.
Mosaic, blur, color, and compositing
Mosaic, blur, and motion blur apply to a region you set. A mosaic region can follow along as the video plays. Looks and color grade change the tone of the whole picture. Overlay another video, or cut a person out from the background, in the same edit.
Audio, music, and sound effects
Extract the audio from a video. Split voices by speaker when more than one person is talking. Place background music and sound effects on the timeline and export them with the original sound.
Export
When the edit is finished, export and save the video on the phone. Captions, FX, traces, mosaic, blur, color, overlaid video, and a person cutout are burned in as you saw them in the preview. A full-screen ad may appear once after an export finishes. The home screen shows a banner ad.
Editing together
Use a QR code with someone nearby, or an invite with someone farther away, to edit the same project. Chat is included. Voice works only while you are online. The edit is not stored on a central server.
How to start
Create a video project on the home screen and import a video or photos from the phone. Cut on the timeline and keep the parts you want. Place captions and FX, then drag them during playback to record motion. Add mosaic, color, music, and sound effects, and watch the preview from start to finish. Export and save when it looks right. The project stays on the phone, so you can reopen it and continue.
