A scoresheet that survives the match.
EightNine keeps score for 8-ball and 9-ball on your phone. It opens straight into scoring - no account, no sign-up, no setup - and it works with no signal at all, which is the normal condition in most rooms rather than the edge case.
IT DOES NOT LOSE YOUR MATCH
Every tap is written down as it happens, so the app rebuilds your match rather than remembering it. Close the app mid-rack, run out of battery, let the phone restart - when you come back the score is exactly where you left it, right down to whose turn it is.
UNDO THAT ACTUALLY WORKS
One tap, never buried in a menu, and it still works after the match is over. The most valuable undo is the one that takes back a mis-tapped winning ball.

Open any match and read the whole thing back: every ball, every foul, every safety, in the order it happened, with corrections shown rather than hidden.
RULES THAT MATCH YOUR ROOM
Whether the 8 on the break wins, how long the race is, what a third foul costs - these vary by venue and by region, and the app asks instead of assuming. Your answers are saved with that match, so changing a preference later never rewrites a game you already played.

What’s new
Starting a match is quicker: both player names now sit side by side, and the screen keeps the names, who breaks first and Start match in view while you type. Also new since 1.0: a home-screen widget showing your current match, a dark navigation theme and a tidier Settings screen.
