About this app
EOTC Media connects members of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church with their local church — wherever in the world they live.
Follow the churches you attend and see everything they post in one place: Kidase and Sunday services, feast days, Mahber gatherings, church teachings and youth programs. Get a notification when something new is posted, when a time or place changes, and before a program begins.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Follow one church or several, across different countries
- See upcoming programs by date, or browse the calendar
- Read news posted by your church
- Add any program to your phone's calendar
- Get directions to a church or a program's venue in your own maps app
- Choose which notifications you receive, and how far in advance
- See each church's contact and giving details
IN YOUR LANGUAGE
EOTC Media is available in 17 languages including Amharic, English, Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Romanian, Greek, Russian and Ukrainian.
THE ETHIOPIAN CALENDAR
Set the app to Amharic and dates follow the Ethiopian calendar and clock, with the thirteen months and feast days shown as you would expect — መስከረም through ጳጉሜን.
FOR CHURCHES
Churches publish their own programs and news, and can send announcements to the members who follow them.
EOTC Media is free, carries no advertising, and serves Ethiopian Orthodox communities across Europe and beyond.
