About this app

FA6LIT turns an Android phone into a simple phone for seniors and anyone who can't stand smartphones: big cards, voice control, messages shown large and read aloud.

Everything that matters, in large print. Nothing else.
FA6LIT does not replace your apps: it puts them within finger's reach, in words everyone understands.

• Big cards, nothing else — Call, Messages, Contacts, Gallery, Weather… Each card has its own colour and word, written large. No tiny icons, no hidden menus. Keep your finger on a card and slide it: the most useful ones move to the top.
• Talk to the phone — Tap the yellow button and say "Call Mary", "Read my messages" or "What time is it?". The phone makes the call or answers out loud.
• Messages come to you — A text or a WhatsApp message arrives: it shows up large on the home screen. "Listen" reads it aloud, "Reply" answers without hunting for the app. New emails and missed calls are counted on their card.
• No more getting lost — The Home button always brings you back to the same screen, even after a restart. Here, you cannot break anything.
• Help is on the screen — The Help card shows every button and says what it does, in one sentence. Just tap the line to open it.
• The call fills the screen — When the phone rings, FA6LIT takes over the screen: the name in large letters, a big green button to answer, a smaller red one to decline. Nothing else to look for.

• Seniors — Calling, seeing family photos, reading messages, without fighting the phone. FA6LIT gives exactly that.
• People who hate smartphones — Too many icons, menus and updates? Here it's one word per card, large print, and messages read aloud.
• A first smartphone — No jargon: "Internet", "Alarm", "Gallery". And always a way back.
• You, setting it up — A few minutes to set everything up, and far fewer "the screen changed, I broke everything" calls.

What's on the phone stays on the phone
FA6LIT reads messages to show them in large print. It doesn't keep them, and doesn't send them anywhere.

• No account — No name, email address or phone number to give.
• No ads, no trackers — No analytics, no profiling.
• As few permissions as possible — No microphone for the app, no precise location, no call log. Your texts are read on the phone because FA6LIT becomes your Messages app: they never leave it.
• Why these permissions — FA6LIT becomes the Phone app and the Messages app. It asks for notification access to show WhatsApp messages in large print and count new emails, and for access to photos and videos for the Gallery. Nothing leaves the phone.

Fifteen days to try it, one purchase to keep it
Everything is open for fifteen days, with no bank card. After that, a one-time purchase on Google Play unlocks FA6LIT for good: no subscription, nothing to cancel. And even without a purchase, the phone can still make calls.

This is not an emergency service — FA6LIT makes the phone simpler, but nobody is watching behind the app. In an emergency, call 112 (911 in the US).
