About this app
Someone picked up your phone and started guessing your PIN? FaceTrap silently takes a front-camera photo of them and emails it to you β no flash, no shutter sound, and nothing on screen to give it away.
FaceTrap is a security tool for your own phone. It is not an app for monitoring other people.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Arm it. Pick the email that should receive alerts, and choose how many wrong unlock attempts should trigger a capture β anywhere from one to five.
2. Someone fumbles the unlock. Android tells FaceTrap the PIN, pattern or password was wrong. Once your threshold is hit, the front camera silently takes the photo.
3. You get the evidence. The intruder selfie arrives in your inbox with the time, number of attempts, battery level, and location if you enabled it.

EVIDENCE THAT SURVIVES THE PHONE
Delivery happens on our server, not your phone. Your phone uploads the capture; our backend stores it and sends the email. So even if a thief wipes or powers off the device seconds later, the photo of who unlocked your phone has already left.
No internet at that moment? The capture is encrypted on the device and uploads automatically as soon as there's a connection.

You confirm the device is yours before the trap can be armed.
