I recently applied for a job through Indeed, and the company asked me to download their app and send them the client ID. I sent it to them three times over three days, but they kept replying that they couldn't find the user ID and asked me to try with another phone. Now, I've received a mail saying the position is filled. It was clearly a scam to increase their app downloads.

Never have I seen more consistent, unprofessional, unbecoming, borderline unethical conduct. The edit quality itself varies wildly, from decent to comically abhorrently bad, and almost always minimal effort and lazy. But what's FAR worse is that editors will occasionally accept orders, provide something entirely unrelated to the selected service, submit it, and then lock it, thus preventing you from receiving a redo. Specific order details are no help either; they treat instructions as optional.

The organization post job ad and requests to install the app to obtain a client ID. However, the app does not generate a valid client ID. Each time I send them the ID, I receive a reply indicating its invalidity. Furthermore, they require the app to be installed on several devices, which has not yielded any results. Ultimately, I receive a email stating that the job requirements have been met. This scenario raises concerns about the potential scam of app install count.
