GameForever is a video game duel app. Two games appear side by side, you tap the one you prefer, and a new duel comes up. Every vote updates an ELO ranking, the scoring system used in chess, shared by every language of the app.
Voting
Voting requires no account and no sign-up. The app opens on a duel, and duels follow one another for as long as you like. After each vote, both scores and their change are revealed.
The ranking
The ranking can be browsed in full and filtered by genre, platform, decade or year, with each game's trend over the past seven days. Every game has its own page: ELO score, position in the ranking, score history, win rate, head-to-heads already played and games in the same genre.
The catalogue
The app gives access to a catalogue of video games, with search by title, cover art, release year, genres and platforms. Duels are drawn from the games in that catalogue.
Debates
Every game has its own discussion thread, open to members in the three languages of the app. You can reply to a message, mark your agreement, and the replies you receive appear in your notifications.
An account
Creating an account is optional. It keeps the votes you have already cast, gathers your preferred games from your very first vote, opens up the debates, and tracks distinctions based on the number of duels you settle, how regularly you vote and the range of genres you explore.
Votes and accounts are shared with the GameForever website.
Interface available in French, English and Spanish.
Two games face off, you vote, and the ELO ranking updates.
