About this app

Put your phone on the ground facing the basketball hoop, put your earbuds in, and shoot. GetBuckets watches the ring through the camera and calls your makes and misses out loud, with your running count and streaks, so you never have to look at the phone. It gets the odd one wrong; a double tap on your earbud fixes it.

Made for solo basketball sessions. Outdoor or indoor, any hoop with the ring clearly visible. No sensors, no wearables, no account. Works best with one shooter, one ball and a nylon net; chain nets and busy gyms are still being tuned.

Fix a call without walking over. Double tap your earbud to swap the last make and miss, triple tap to remove a shot that wasn't one.

Check any shot afterwards. The app keeps a short clip of each shot on your phone. Open a session, tap a shot, watch it, and fix the call if it got one wrong. You choose whether to keep the clips when the session ends.

Your numbers, over time. Every session is saved with makes, misses, best streak and length. Home shows your last 30 days at a glance.

Review a recording. Already have a video of yourself shooting hoops? Load it and GetBuckets counts the basketball shots the same way.

Fixes a bug where a rare one-off camera/GPU hiccup could permanently slow down shot detection and make per-shot video clips choppy. Detection now recovers automatically.
