Oath locks your apps. Someone you trust decides when they open.
Make an agreement with a partner (friend, parent, spouse, colleague, mentor) to follow the same set of rules.
Oath is designed for two people to use together. It's free to make an Oath - Premium just lifts the one-rule limit!
Two types of rules:
Curfew: decide when your app should be locked.
Session: decide when your app should be unlocked. (Basically, give yourself an allowance e.g. 3 x 10 minutes on Instagram)
Anytime you want to use the phone longer than the rules, you have to ask your partner for a 'key' to unlock the rules for however long they decide.
You might get it for the rest of the day, you might get it for 5 minutes - it all depends on how you want to keep each other accountable.
What if my partner is busy, or is offline, or it's an emergency??
First, your calls and messages are always left unlocked. Safety matters.
Second, you get emergency hammers.
A 'hammer' is the ability to unlock any rule, without needing to wait for your partner to reply. You get three hammers a month, so use them carefully!
Don't have anyone to invite yet? Try Solo.
Instead of a partner unlocking you, Oath unlocks the app after an increasing cooldown timer.
