About this app

Grasshopper is a home library and book lending app for people who love real books. Organise your bookshelf, see what friends own, and borrow books from your own trusted network. No ads, no tracking, no algorithm.

YOUR LIBRARY
- Add books in seconds with the barcode scanner, or search by title and ISBN
- Organise your bookshelf into shelves: owned, reading, want to read, read
- Track your reading and rate books with your own tags and reviews
- Multi-volume series stack neatly into a single tile

LEND AND BORROW
- See which books your friends own and ask to borrow them
- Lend your books and keep track of who has what, with gentle return reminders
- Record real-life loans too, so nothing you lend goes missing
- You decide if your books are borrowable, per copy or all at once

FRIENDS AND REVIEWS
- Build a private network of readers you trust, friend by friend
- A feed of what your friends are reading, reviewing and lending
- Book discussions and reviews from people whose taste you actually know
- Works like a small book club with your friends, without the scheduling

PRIVACY FIRST
- Your library is shared only with people you choose
- You control the visibility of every review: public, friends, or only you
- No ads, no data selling, no engagement tricks

Grasshopper is made by one person and free to use. If you enjoy it, a one-time supporter contribution keeps it independent.

Start your shared library today: scan your first shelf, invite a friend, and lend your favourite book to someone who will love it too.
