About this app

HiveCraft is a beekeeping app built for beekeepers, not for app reviewers.

You open a hive. Your hands are covered. The smoker's lit. The frame's heavy with bees. That's not the moment to dig your phone out and type an inspection note. So don't. Tap the mic, talk through what you see, and the app fills the form for you. Keep your gloves on.

Everything works offline. Log inspections on a dirt road, in a remote yard, in a spotty basement. It syncs when you're back online. Your database on your phone is the source of truth until you reconnect.

What you get:

• Hives, apiaries, and inspections. Proper records, not a notes app.
• Photos attached to any inspection. Full history per hive.
• Queen tracking, swarm tracking, treatment logs, yield by frame or total harvest.
• Approximate GPS per apiary, deliberately coarsened on-device. No one needs to know your exact bee yard to the meter.
• CSV export when you want your data out.
• Basic inspection reminders so you don't lose track of a hive.

Free forever, with no hive limit and no ads. The free tier is the whole app, not a crippled preview of the paid version.

HiveCraft Pro ($30/year) adds the stuff that has real ongoing cost:

• Voice-to-form inspections powered by a language model. Speak naturally, the app fills queen status, brood pattern, stores, pests, treatments, actions. Works on one hive or across a whole yard.
• Weather at inspection time, plus forecasts tuned for beekeeping. Swarm watch during warm stretches, treatment timing windows, frost alerts in spring.
• Smart reminders that mix hive state with weather ("Saturday looks good for that overdue split").

I care about data privacy in my own life, so I built the app the way I'd want to use it. No ads anywhere. Your hive data is yours. I don't sell it to advertisers or data brokers.

Longer term, I want HiveCraft to give something back to the beekeeping community beyond the app itself. Opt-in anonymized trend data that can support apiculture research, state pollinator health programs, and university studies. If and when that happens, it's opt-in, identifiers are stripped before anything leaves the system, and it's never sold to pesticide companies or anyone with a conflict of interest.

Made in the field, not a conference room. If something doesn't fit the way you actually beekeep, tell me and I'll fix it. Roadmap is steered by beekeepers: my own frustrations and what users ask for.
