An ancient timing system used for thousands of years to identify favorable moments for important activities. Each day divides into 24 unequal hours – 12 daylight, 12 nighttime – with each ruled by one of seven classical planets. Calculated from sunrise and sunset at your exact location.

WHAT IS PANCHANGA?

The traditional Hindu almanac describing the five limbs of time based on Sun and Moon positions:

• Tithi – Lunar day (30 divisions of the lunar month)
• Nakshatra – Lunar mansion (27 divisions of the ecliptic)
• Yoga – Sun-Moon combination (27 yogas)
• Karana – Half of a Tithi (60 per lunar month)
• Vara – Weekday and its planetary ruler
