Share any file as a simple link. Receivers open it in any browser - no app needed on their side.

DropLink is a file transfer tool for phones, tablets, and computers. No accounts. No cloud upload wait. No app required for the receiver. Just pick your files and you get a link with a short code; the other side opens it in any browser and downloads.

What you can share:
- Photos and videos from your gallery
- Documents - PDF, DOCX, ZIP, anything
- APK files - share apps already installed on your device with friends
- Quick text snippets - links, addresses, notes

Why DropLink:

- Random short links that expire when you stop sharing - 8-character tokens, automatically invalidated.

Privacy:
DropLink does NOT collect, store, or read your file content. On the same Wi-Fi, files go directly from one device to the other.
Across networks, files stream through our encrypted TLS relay - the relay only forwards data while a transfer is active and never keeps a copy. No account means no profile, no email, no tracking. When you stop sharing, the link is invalidated immediately.

Permissions and why we need them:
- Photos and videos - to let you pick media for sharing
- Storage - to read files you choose to share, and to save files you receive
- Foreground notification - to keep the connection alive during a transfer
- Install permission - so you can one-tap install an APK a friend sent you, always confirmed in the standard Android system dialog
- Query installed apps - to show you the list of apps installed on your device so you can pick one to share; this list never leaves your device
- Network - required to establish transfer connections

We never install apps silently. Every install shows the standard Android system confirmation dialog and requires your explicit tap.
