This is an excellent app. So fun and easy to use! It is just as much fun as scrolling social media for random video clips, but it's more productive because you're learning a language. Love it! I'm keeping this app after the free trial!! I would not recommend it for children, though. Since the movie/TV clips come from Netflix, there are explicit images at times that would not be appropriate for children.

I got blocked on Day 1 after making it to lesson 6. I checked all the languages and German + French have inaccurate sentences where it mostly matches the video clip used but doesn't have all the words because the written phrase got shortened. This sucks because then we hear words that we don't see when we're expecting to follow along. The video clips used are all from recent or popular media and that's a big plus as I recognized most shows and was more motivated to study. Wish trial was longer.

The idea is wonderful especially using real media as examples but the paywall is ridiculous. I thought the app was a good idea so I went to see how I could remove ads and they encourage a subscription (of course they do) and I was looking for a one time payment and it was $149.99. That's robbery. I'm not expecting to just waltz through for free when apps like these cost money to keep up but the greed is insane. Paying forever is not cheaper than paying once..

At $49.99 a year or $6.99 a month we're cheaper than any other option out there.
