Find devices on your WiFi and understand your local network. LAN Viewer is a local network scanner that discovers devices responding on the network your phone is connected to, shows the connection details behind it, runs ping tests, and keeps a local activity log. No account, and no cloud copy of your device list.

Find devices on your WiFi
Scan the current local network to find connected devices that respond. For each one, review the available hostname, DHCP name, vendor, model, operating system, IP address, MAC address, latency, and how confident the recognition is. Your own phone and your router are marked clearly. Filter the device list by Named and Unknown, and mark the devices you recognize as Known, so an unfamiliar one is easier to notice next time.

Understand your connection
Check whether Android reports Internet access, a partial connection, a captive portal, or no Internet at all. See your IPv4 and IPv6 addresses, subnet mask, default gateway, DHCP server, DNS and Private DNS status, and MTU. For the Wi-Fi link your phone is currently using, view signal strength in dBm, band, channel, Wi-Fi generation, security type, and link speed, where your device and Android version make them available. Tap any metric for a plain-language explanation, or expand the technical details if you already know what you are looking at.

Run ping tests
Ping a domain or an IP address, on your local network or on the Internet, and watch replies arrive in real time. See packet loss together with minimum, average, and maximum round-trip times. Recent targets stay available so you can retest quickly.

Review recent activity
LAN Viewer keeps a local record of scans, ping sessions, and network changes. Filter the timeline, open an entry for the full detail, delete single entries, or clear the whole log.

Share with a safety check
Before you share network status, scan results, device details, ping results, or an activity entry, LAN Viewer shows you the exact content first and warns you when it may include sensitive information such as IP addresses, MAC addresses, hostnames, or Wi-Fi details.

Privacy and permissions
LAN Viewer does not request the Android location permission, and there is no sign-in. Your device list and activity history stay on your phone, and network identifiers such as IP and MAC addresses are not sent to analytics. The app does use analytics and crash reporting, which include an approximate location derived from your IP address. The Data safety section and the Privacy Policy describe the full scope.

Who it is for
Anyone who wants a clear answer to "what is connected to my WiFi" at home, in a shared apartment, or in a small office. Also for anyone who wants a straightforward LAN device list, an IP and MAC lookup, and a ping test, without learning a full network toolkit first.

What LAN Viewer does not do
It is a viewer, not a security product. It does not measure Internet download or upload speed, scan ports, run traceroute or DNS lookups, survey nearby Wi-Fi networks or channels, block devices, or judge whether a device is safe. Seeing a device you do not recognize is a reason to look into it, not proof of anything.

What can affect results
Results vary with router settings, Wi-Fi client isolation, whether a device is asleep, the permissions you grant, and Android restrictions. Some hostnames, vendors, models, MAC addresses, signal readings, and Wi-Fi details are not available on every network or device. A scan shows the devices that respond, rather than a guaranteed complete list.
