Compass Calibration Guide
Magnetic cases may affect accuracy. Keep magnetic field between 30–60 μT.
Move the device in a figure-8 motion. If needed, rotate it in all directions.

It's so utterly simple, but it just works. at least for me, it allows me to control the brightness of my flashlight and let's me turn it on even when it says "Oh YoU CaNt TuRn On FlaSh BecAuSe Batterie ToO LoW blah blah blah". it's simple, effective and ads are barely a problem.
