About this app

Kodomo is a small toolbox for the first years: what you need at four in the morning with one hand free, and nothing more.

WHAT YOU CAN WRITE DOWN
- Nappies, feeds and sleep in two taps, with an add button so nothing is saved by accident. A feed can be breastfeeding with the side, a bottle with the millilitres, or solids, and there is a timer if you would rather time it.
- A note on any entry, which is what you try to remember three days later at the check-up.
- A summary by day with plain charts, so you see the pattern instead of a list.
- Weight, height and head circumference, with their curve over the months.
- More than one child, each with their own colour.

TOOLS FOR THE DAY
- Colour clock: a countdown for someone who cannot read a clock yet. The colour drains away and the alarm rings.
- Sleep sounds: white, pink and brown noise, rain, a fan, the car, a heartbeat and three lullabies, with a timer that fades the sound out instead of cutting it.
- Noise meter: a traffic light for how loud the room is, with a threshold you can set.

GAMES TO PLAY TOGETHER
- Learning games: numbers, colours and letters, read out loud.
- Memory with three board sizes, charades, and noughts and crosses.
These games are meant to be played together. The idea is not to hand your phone to your child to keep them entertained on their own.

NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE
No account, no server, no ads. Everything you write down lives in your phone and nowhere else, so there is nothing to sign up for and it works with no connection.
You can save a backup file whenever you like and import it on another phone, or send it to whoever else looks after them. You decide where that file goes, and you can delete everything from the settings screen.

WHAT IT IS NOT
Kodomo does not replace your paediatrician. The growth charts show only the measurements you type: they do not indicate whether a weight or a height is on track, and that is for your healthcare professional to assess.
Nappies, feeds, sleep, growth and more. It all stays on your phone.

What’s new

First public version.

Nappies, feeds and sleep with a summary, weight and height, sleep sounds, a colour countdown, a noise meter and games to play together.

Everything stays on your phone: no account, no ads, no connection needed. The backup is a file you control.
