LEARN, THEN REVIEW

Learn up to 25 new words a day, five at a time. Every word arrives with a
hand-written mnemonic, an example sentence, and native-speaker audio. Answer in
both Korean and English to move on.

Then review. The scheduler runs FSRS — the Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler, a
machine-learning memory model fitted on real learner reviews. It predicts when
you're about to forget each word and books the review just before: hours for
something new, months once it's locked in. Less time reviewing, more time
learning.

BURN IT

Every word climbs nine stages, from Novice to BURNED. Get it right, it moves up.
Get it wrong, it slides back. Hit stage 9 and the word is yours forever — off
your review queue for good, still there when you search for it.

No two words follow the same path. Easy words take three reviews and burn.
Stubborn ones take a dozen. The schedule is per-word, not a fixed timetable.

WEIRD STORIES MAKE IT STICK

Your brain remembers images far faster than rote repetition, so every word ships
with a hook written for English speakers — sound, shape, and meaning in one
picture. Sino-Korean words share hanja-based mnemonics, so learning one root
pays off across every word that uses it. Words borrowed from English get flagged
as loanwords instead of forced into a story they don't need. And if ours doesn't
click, write your own — the app remembers it.
