La Nave is a mobile application that connects passengers and drivers in Cuba 24 hours, whatever your destination.
 
How does it work?
• Activate the location and mobile data on the phone (the app uses this information so that the driver knows where to pick you up and what route to follow)
• Open the app
• Sign up (it's super easy)
• Search by name or brand on the map the place you want to move to
• Select the category in which you want to travel (basic, comfort and family)
• Then, the approximate fare of the trip and its breakdown will be available (it will vary in cases of change of route or depending on waiting times)
• You can see the photo of the driver, the qualification of the quality of his service, the data of the vehicle and follow the trajectory on the map while you wait (it will never be too long)
• In addition, you can use the application chat to specify any details of the race. This service is completely free of charge.
• Pay the race in cash to the driver
• At the end of the trip, rate the experience and the person responsible. Your opinion is essential for us. You will also receive a travel receipt or invoice by e-mail
• We will be with you for any help you may need. When and as you need.

Ratings and reviews

A must have in La Habana. Yes, it doesn't work with foreign SIM cards but then again not all operators have roaming agreements in Cuba. Just get the tourist SIM. No crashes, accurate prices and fast service.

The app even when could be useful, crashes continuously. The service finally works but sometimes charges you more as the app gets frozen but continues counting time until the driver is able to close the trip, then the estimated cost could be up to double as you spend time trying to finish the trip on the app. Estimated cost is never what you end up paying, always much more.

A great tool to save money and support the private economy! You can't yet activate it from a foreign phone, but you can download and then get a local SIM upon arrival. Drivers are polite, interesting and interested. The app support staff answer questions and can even arrange transport via WhatsApp beyond the current service range of Havana only. Once they expand to other cities it will be a must-have app for enjoyable travel all around the island.
