SYNC ANDROID AND MAC—WITHOUT A CLOUD RELAY

Pairo keeps selected folders on your Android phone and Mac in step over your local network. It uses File Sharing built into macOS, so normal folder sync needs no companion Mac app and no Pairo account.

FILES WHERE YOU EXPECT THEM

• Sync new, changed and confirmed deleted files in both directions
• Create and switch between multiple folder pairs
• Share a photo, PDF, document, audio file or other file to your Mac from Android’s share menu
• Use optional Live Sync to react to changes in your phone and Mac folders while both devices are reachable
• Reconnect to your selected Mac when its local IP address changes
• Keep both versions if the same file changes on both devices
• Keep an edited copy when one device edits while the other deletes

FOLDER WORKFLOWS

Choose a custom two-way folder pair or create focused one-way routes for Android camera photos and screenshots. One-way workflows follow their source folder instead of treating the destination as a second master.

CAMERA → APPLE PHOTOS

Pairo can copy new Android camera photos and videos to a Photos Inbox on your Mac. An optional open-source Automator workflow imports supported media into Apple Photos. It removes the temporary inbox copy only after Photos confirms the import; failed or unsupported files remain for recovery. This workflow requires a one-time setup on your Mac.

LOCAL BY DESIGN

• Files transfer directly between your phone and the Mac you configure
• No developer-operated cloud file storage
• No Pairo account
• No ads or analytics
• Folder access is limited to folders you choose; Pairo also reads files you explicitly share to it
• Your Mac password is stored in encrypted preferences on your phone

Pairo uses SMB File Sharing and does not currently require SMB payload encryption. Use it only on a trusted local network or through a trusted VPN.

Your first five completed file transfers are included. Failed attempts and the welcome test file do not count. Unlock Pairo Unlimited with one Google Play purchase to keep syncing after the five-file trial. No subscription.

WHAT YOU NEED

• An Android phone and a Mac
• File Sharing enabled in macOS
• Your Mac's shared-folder name, username and password
• Both devices reachable on the same trusted local network; the Mac can use Wi-Fi or Ethernet

CURRENT LIMITATIONS

Interrupted transfers retry during a later sync. Live Sync uses a persistent Android notification while enabled.
