Lesefluss is a reading app for people who want to read more and keep losing to their phone.
It offers an RSVP mode, which flashes one word at a time so you can finish a chapter in the time you'd usually spend scrolling. There's also a normal scroll reader. Both share the same library, progress, and highlights, and everything syncs between your phone, the web app at lesefluss.app, and a small optional ESP32 device.
Features:
- RSVP reader and scroll reader, switch any time
- Reading stats: sessions, WPM, streaks, time per book
- Library of Project Gutenberg classics ready to read
- Import EPUB, PDF, web articles, plain text, or paste a URL
- Search and read serials from AO3, ScribbleHub, Royal Road, Wuxiaworld
- Chrome and Firefox extension that saves any article in one click
- Highlights and a per-book glossary
- Cloud sync between phone and web
The ESP32 part is a small device you can build yourself that runs RSVP on a 1.4" screen. It pulls your library from the app over Bluetooth, remembers your position, and lasts weeks on a charge.
