About this app

LU6OLE protects your child's first phone, from ages 6 to 15. You set what they can open, when, and for how long; they see everything you have set. A light, not a cage.

WHAT THEY OPEN
• An app you have not allowed closes as soon as they open it.
• A daily time limit for one app, or for the whole phone.
• The time spent today in each app, on your page and on their screen.
• Camera and microphone, app by app: TikTok to watch, not to film.

BEDTIME
At night and during the hours you choose, the phone sleeps: only the phone, emergency calls and SOSBY, if installed, stay open.

THEY ASK, YOU ANSWER
• They ask for a blocked app, more time or a new app.
• You get a notification and answer yes or no, with a note they read on their screen.
• Up to four parents can set rules and answer.

WEBSITE FILTER
Adult sites, gambling and phishing are blocked in all apps. Safe search is enforced on Google, YouTube and Bing.

WHERE ARE THEY? (OPTIONAL)
If you turn it on, you see where their phone is when you ask, for 30 minutes at most. They see it on their screen every time, with your name. No trip is stored.

YOUR PARENT PAGE
No second app: you set everything on a web page, from your phone or your computer, with your Google account. The first time, a six-digit code shown on their phone links it to your account. Your child has no account. If protection stops, your page says so in red, with the step to take.

THEY KNOW IT IS THERE
LU6OLE does not hide: an icon, a permanent notification, and a screen where they read your settings. In the month of their 15th birthday, LU6OLE blocks nothing anymore and can be uninstalled.

WHY THESE ACCESSES
• Accessibility service (AccessibilityService) — used by "the guardian" for two things only: 1) knowing which app has just opened (its name, nothing else), in order to close those you have not allowed, those whose time is up, those that turn on a camera or microphone you have withheld from them, and all of them at night except the phone, emergency calls and SOSBY; 2) on the Settings and installation screens only, recognizing those that would disable LU6OLE and asking for your code. It also counts the time spent in each app. It never reads the content of apps, nor messages, nor what is typed. You turn it on yourself, after a screen that explains it and asks for your agreement; your code lets you turn it off.
• Local VPN (VpnService) — for the website filter, with your agreement. Only the names of sites pass through it, never their content, and nothing goes to LU6OLE.
• Location, including in the background — only if you turn on "Locate", after a screen that explains it: the location is sent when a parent asks for it, even with the app closed, for 30 minutes at most. Your child sees it; at 15, they decide.
• Device administrator — only to prevent uninstallation without your code.
• Permanent notification — so that your child knows LU6OLE is watching over the phone.

PRIVACY
No ads, no analytics. What goes up to your page: your settings, the list of their apps, the protection status, their time per app, their requests and, if you turned it on, their location when you ask for it.
