Moving Lines is the I Ching, the Book of Changes.
THE TEXT
All sixty-four hexagrams, with their judgments, images and lines, in three editions: Richard Wilhelm's German of 1924, a new English translation made from it for this app, and the Chinese original of the Zhouyi. Wilhelm's introduction and commentary for each hexagram are here too, in German and in English. Choose the edition in Settings, and browse the Book by its sixty-four figures.
READINGS YOU CAN CHECK
Seal a question, and the reading comes from your question and the time, hashed with SHA-256. The time is the minute you asked, or the hour or the day if you set that in Settings. The same question at the same time always gives the same reading, so anyone can work it out again with one line in a shell; How casting works shows it. Cast without a question in one tap, or cast with light: each line then comes from the noise in your camera's light, read on your device. Use the odds of yarrow stalks or of three coins.
TODAY'S HEXAGRAM
