About this app

I am a professional gardener and experienced allotment holder. To help my work, I wanted to find a way to easily save information on plants I come across in gardens I work in, or discover when visiting gardens.

The original idea was to create a personal book of plants that I could refer back to when searching for plants for specific purposes, like seasonal colour or planting position, and to help me learn the names of plants.

The app started as a personal project, but I thought it may be useful to others too. I hope it may help gardeners find plants to grow in their garden or allotment, with accompanying growing information for each plant. Gardeners can save plants they like to their favourites.

The app includes a wide range of both ornamental and edible plants.

Ornamental plants are organised into collections, making it easy to find plants for specific purposes like seasonal colour, strongly scented, or suitable for shade. The following sections are included:
