The rate of pet abandonment is a major social issue.
Are you aware that the rate of abandonment in Korea is increasing every year?
Over 110,000 abandoned animals annually
26% of abandonments occur within one year
KOAS cares for these abandoned animals and connects them to responsible adoptions.
We provide not just simple adoption, but a comprehensive service including matching, counseling, and follow-up care.
[How does the process work?]
1. Receiving Responsibility and Rescue: We receive reports on the reason for abandonment and follow the rescue procedures for abandoned animals.
We implement emergency protection measures and assign a temporary shelter.
2. Health Check-up and Treatment: We conduct comprehensive health check-ups by a professional veterinarian.
We proceed with vaccinations, neutering, and disease treatment, and complete a health status record card.
3. Behavior Correction and Socialization Training: This involves behavioral evaluation and correction by a professional trainer.
We provide socialization training with humans and other animals, as well as trauma care and emotional safety training.
4. On-site Consultation and Education: This involves visiting the shelter and meeting the pet in person. We provide consultation on adoption suitability with a professional counselor.
We guide you through responsible parenting education and preparations.
