Dictating or typing a long message directly inside WhatsApp or a mobile AI assistant like Gemini can be problematic. The input boxes are cramped, the message can get easily sent by mistake before it is ready to be sent, and so quite inconvenient when you want to write or dictate a message that takes up more than a few lines.

Text Scratchpad provides a dedicated, distraction-free, large canvas. It acts as a clean "staging ground" for your text. You open it, type or dictate comfortably using your device's native capabilities, copy your finished draft with a single tap, and paste it wherever you need it.

It is designed for mobile but can be used on tablet as well.

It is a Progressive Web App (PWA) wrapped in a Trusted Web Activity (TWA) Android bundle. This app load time is typically under 2 to 3 seconds (on Samsung M21 mid-range Android mobile) but sometimes can take a little longer. Once loaded, its speed is comparable to a native app.

📖 How to Use
Text Scratchpad is designed for a frictionless Draft ➔ Copy ➔ Paste workflow:

1. Draft & Dictate: Type your message or use your device's built-in voice-to-text tools to dictate hands-free. On mobile/tablet: Tap the microphone key on your virtual keyboard (like Gboard or Apple Keyboard).
2. One-Tap Copy: Use the Copy All button to copy your entire draft to the clipboard.
3. Switch & Paste: Switch to your target application (such as WhatsApp or Gemini) and paste your message. You can switch directly via your device's app switcher, or close/swipe away the scratchpad first.
4. Clear & Restore: The Clear button immediately clears the box and temporarily toggles to Undo, allowing you to instantly restore your text if you cleared by mistake. If you start typing, the button reverts to Clear, but you can recover the last 'Cleared' draft at any time using the adjacent Restore button (which will ask for confirmation if you have typed new text, to prevent accidental data loss).

ℹ️ Note on Persistence: Your draft is securely stored locally on your device. It will remain in the editor even if you close the app, shut down your browser, or reboot your device, until you actively modify it or tap the Clear button.
