About this app

Gallery OCR reads the text in your photos and screenshots. Then you can find a photo by the words in it.

Do you need an account number, an address or a code from an old photo? Type a part of the text, and the app shows the photos that have it.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• The app has no internet permission. Your photos and their text never leave your phone.
• No accounts, no ads, no tracking.
• All text recognition runs on your phone.

SEARCH BY TEXT
• Search all your photos or one album.
• Find numbers without dots or dashes.
• Each result shows the line that matches.

COPY THE TEXT
• Tap a line on the photo to copy it.
• Long-press a word to select a part of the text.
• Copy all the text with one tap.
• The app finds numbers, phone numbers, emails and links. Tap one to copy it.

YOU CHOOSE WHICH PHOTOS TO READ
• Choose the albums or photos that the app reads.
• Turn on automatic reading for an album. New photos in that album are read in the background.
• Give access to all your photos or only to some.

SHARE FROM OTHER APPS
• Share an image from another app with "Find text" to read its text at once.
