If you are thinking of installing this app, attempt to plug a potato into the USB port of your phone - you will have better success. turns off after like 30 seconds of using. completely butchers the audio quality. it doesn't even work with the butchered audio quality.

This didn't seem to have any effect, either with my Bluetooth headphones or my phone speakers. It gives you 11 trials before needing to buy the pro version. I tested with my speakers using a latency detection app. It doesn't explain how it reduces latency, so it's hard to evaluate whether it could have done better; I suspect it's adjusting the Bluetooth audio codec but for some devices there aren't alternatives.

I was testing for a few minutes. My delay was 300 and with this app it was half, 150. So it actually reduces latency.
