oswim answers one question: can I swim here, today?
CONDITIONS, BEACH BY BEACH
Water temperature, waves, chop, wind, tide, UV: oswim gathers what matters to a swimmer and turns it into a window — "best window: 1 pm–10 pm". Safety warnings stay separate from comfort: cold, currents, the things that should actually stop you are never diluted into one score. What isn't known is shown as unknown, never invented.
YOUR SWIMS, WITHOUT RETYPING THEM
Let oswim read Health Connect and your swims arrive on their own, whatever brand your watch is. You get what the watch shows nowhere: your totals for the week, the month, the year, each against the period before it, your trend, your records. Pool and open water, with the GPS track on the map when your watch shared one.
WHAT ARRIVES DEPENDS ON YOUR WATCH
Health Connect does not carry everything, and oswim would rather say so. Some watch apps write only duration and heart rate; others add distance, calories, the route. Stroke count, SWOLF and water temperature do not exist in Health Connect at all, so oswim does not show them rather than invent a figure. For a fuller swim, drop your watch's file on oswim.app, or type a swim in by hand.
THE SEA THAT DAY
This is what no other app does: every swim keeps the conditions of its own hour. "Water 18.7 °C, waves 0.4 m, wind 25 km/h." Even swims from three years ago.
THE MORNING SUMMARY
Pick your beaches: every morning, one notification tells you what the sea is doing. You choose the hour, the months of the year, and you can pause it whenever you like.
PRIVATE BY DEFAULT, ANONYMOUS EVEN WHEN SHARED
Your swims are yours. You decide to share one, and you decide field by field what is visible: the route, the distance, the pace, the heart rate. A shared swim appears on the beaches it crossed without your name: oswim has no public profile. Your health data is never used for advertising and never sold. You can delete your account, and everything in it, from inside the app.
WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT TOO
Conditions for more than 3,000 beaches are readable without creating anything. The account only exists to keep your swims and your alerts.
