Parkdex turns real parks into a game. Head to a park, plant your flag and hold it. Every hour your flag flies earns you points, until someone else turns up to take the park back.
• Plant your flag: check in once you're inside a park's boundary and claim it.
• Hold parks for points: earn a point for every hour your flag flies, plus bonuses for visits.
• Play with friends: add friends by QR code and race them on the weekly friends leaderboard.
• Become the founder: take a park's first photo and it becomes the park's cover.
• My Dex: every park you've visited, sorted by region.
• Over 1,100 parks across British Columbia and Nova Scotia, from Beacon Hill to Cape Breton, each with a simple park page and directions in Google Maps.
• Start with just a @handle, and back up with Google whenever you like.
Kip the oystercatcher will cheer you on from the first park to the hundredth.
Parkdex uses your location to check that you're in a park. Before you visit, check official park sources for access, closures and safety information.
