About this app

pKeep Message encrypts every message on your device before it's sent. The server only sees the ciphertext—never the text.

NO ACCOUNT, NO PASSWORD
Your identity is tied to your Ethereum wallet. One signature, and all the keys are generated. There's nothing to register, no email address to provide, and no password to lose.

YOUR WALLET, ONE TAP
MetaMask, Rainbow, Trust, and others connect directly. The app jumps to the wallet, you sign, and you're back. pKeep doesn't store any cryptocurrency or process any transactions—the wallet is just a pen, nothing more.

YOUR NAME
Instead of cryptic addresses, a name like alice.pkeep.app. Names are listed in a public, verifiable directory. When you resolve a name, your app checks in the background that the entry is actually there—a manipulated directory would be detected. A name costs nothing and doesn't expire.

EVEN WITHOUT A WALLET
You can protect messages with a passphrase and share them as a link—via WhatsApp, Threema, Telegram, whichever you prefer. Only those who know the passphrase can open it. Using this method eliminates the need for a wallet and doesn't establish a connection to a wallet service.

INBOX
Messages reach the recipient even if they are offline. Anything that has been retrieved is deleted. Anything never retrieved expires after 30 days.

HISTORY ON THE DEVICE
Your chat history is encrypted on your phone with a key derived from the same signature. After logging out, it is unreadable. Messages are hidden and only briefly become visible when tapped.

WHAT WE DON'T PROMISE
The server inevitably sees who receives a message, its size, and when. This is stated here because it's true.
