Free PLAB 1-style practice cases for medical students and IMGs. AskPreceptor is a
study tool built around one rule: answer first, then read why the right option is
right — and why every distractor is wrong. 88 English cases follow the PLAB 1
format; 60 Portuguese cases follow the PNA format. All original, all fictional,
all free.
WHAT YOU GET

ethics — 88 written to a UK exam style, 60 to a Portuguese one.
• Answer first, then read why the right option is right and why each distractor is
wrong. The wrong ones are where the learning is.
• Write your own case and get a full worked answer: a ranked differential, red flags,
the findings the leading diagnosis does NOT explain, and a management plan that shows
how each dose was decided.
• A dose calculator that shows the arithmetic — the rule, the figures, and the
adjustments for weight and kidney function. A dose you cannot derive is a dose you
cannot check.
• Guidance held to YOUR region. Choose Portugal, the UK, the US, Europe or
international, and the answers are held to that country's guidelines rather than
quietly to someone else's.
• Works offline after first launch. The case bank is stored on your device, so it reads
on a ward with no signal.
HOW IT IS DIFFERENT
Every answer names the guidance it leaned on, and a citation the app could not verify
against its own corpus is marked with a warning. You are told what to double-check
rather than asked to trust everything equally.
There is no advertising inside a clinical analysis, between a question and its answer,
or beside a calculated dose. That rule is enforced in code and checked by an automated
test before every release.
WHAT IT IS NOT
This is a teaching tool. The cases are fictional. It is not a medical device, it does
not diagnose, and it must not be used in the care of a real patient or with a real
patient's details. Never enter identifiable information about anyone.

often as you like. Writing your own case uses a daily allowance of three analyses, and
you can watch an ad to unlock one more, up to three times a day.
