About this app

See it before it reaches you.

ReadyEye puts the official picture of what is happening near you on one map: active wildfires and satellite heat, floods and water levels, storms, smoke, air quality, road closures, winter road conditions and earthquakes — and the official alerts that cover your area, relayed word for word with their source and time.

Then it shows the part no other map carries: the help. Official guidance, the organisations working an event, ways to help now and calls for help in the news, on every event and every community.

WHAT'S ON THE MAP
• Active fires with their status and size, satellite hotspots and fire perimeters
• Fire danger near you, with Restricted Fire Zones
• Official alerts from Alert Ready and Environment Canada, word for word
• Live radar, water levels, air quality, smoke, snow, road closures and winter roads
• Every community: tap any township or First Nation for its own page
• Search any Ontario place or street

LOOK AROUND FIRST
The map, the alerts, the help and the news are open the moment you open the app. Create an account when you want to follow an event, report what you see, or get alerts for your places.

FOLLOW WHAT MATTERS TO YOU
Follow an event, or add your home, the cottage or the parents' place, and get a notification when something near it changes: an official alert, a fire that grows, a sighting a person has verified. Each property keeps a dated record of every official alert that covered it.

SEE SOMETHING? SAY SOMETHING.
Report smoke, flame, rising water or a blocked road. Every report is screened for safety before anyone sees it and is marked Unconfirmed until a person checks it. Only reports a person has confirmed are sent to phones. You can report any sighting, and hide posts from anyone you'd rather not see.

ReadyEye never reads your photo library. The only photo we receive is one you choose to attach to a sighting, held privately until a person has checked the report.

HOW IT WORKS
Everything on ReadyEye is relayed from official sources and shown with its source and time. ReadyEye is independent and not affiliated with any government. It is a companion to 911 and Alert Ready, not a replacement — in an emergency, call 911.
