RheoCast Camera turns a phone you already own into a camera for the RheoCast broadcast console.
Put it on a tripod, pair it once, and it becomes another angle in your production — controlled entirely from the desktop, so nobody has to walk over and touch it in the middle of a service.
WHAT IT DOES
• Sends live video to the RheoCast desktop app across your own WiFi
• A full-screen tally border you can read from across a room: red on program, green on preview
• The desktop controls zoom, torch, focus, exposure, resolution, frame rate and which camera is used
• Hardware H.264 encoding, with MJPEG available when you want it
• 480p, 720p and 1080p, up to 30fps
• Adaptive quality that eases off on a busy network instead of stuttering
• Reports battery and charging state to the desktop, so a phone about to die is never a surprise
PAIRING TAKES ONE CODE
Add a Phone source on the desktop, type in the address and code shown on the phone, and that is the whole setup. The phone remembers the desktop it was paired with, so next time it simply connects.
NOTHING LEAVES YOUR NETWORK
No account. No sign-up. No cloud. Video goes from this phone straight to your desktop over your own WiFi and nowhere else. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDK of any kind in this app.
WHAT YOU NEED
• The RheoCast desktop app running on the same WiFi network
• This app does not work on its own, and does not stream over the internet
• Video only — audio is not sent
Built for churches and small venues that want more camera angles without buying more cameras.
