Check unfamiliar spaces with guided tools for a closer inspection. Hidden Camera Detector helps you examine possible lens reflections, review devices on an authorized Wi-Fi network, and observe magnetic changes on compatible hardware.
OPTICAL INSPECTION
Use your camera and pulsed flashlight to look for reflections that may come from a lens. An on-screen pointer marks an approximate area to inspect. Results explain what was observed and suggest the next steps. Glass, metal and other shiny surfaces can produce similar reflections.
LOCAL WI-FI SCAN
See devices that respond on your local network, their likely types and the technical signals behind the result. A TV, router or video service is not proof of a hidden camera. Scan only networks you are authorized to inspect. This tool does not show a device's physical location or detect every device.
MAGNETIC CHECKS
Observe nearby magnetic variations using a compatible magnetic sensor. Wiring, magnets and everyday electronics can affect readings. Magnetic changes alone cannot identify a camera, and this feature is unavailable on devices without the required sensor.
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDANCE
Learn how to prepare the area, test with a known target, change the viewing angle and interpret possible findings. A result with no indication does not guarantee that a space is camera-free. Findings require physical inspection and context.
ON-DEVICE OPTICAL PROCESSING
Camera frames are analyzed locally and are not saved or sent by the app. Offline object recognition provides general context only; an object label is not evidence of a camera. Local network results are not sent to a server.
Use only where you have permission. Optical results depend on distance, angle, lighting and lens coverings. Avoid directing pulsed light into anyone's eyes. Stop if it causes discomfort; this tool is unsuitable for people sensitive to flashing lights.
