About this app

Protection doesn't come from the phone call itself. Protection comes from the conversation that precedes it.

ShockProtection is a prevention app for families. It raises awareness among seniors and their families about scam calls and provides a quick and clear way to reach family members when a suspicious call comes in. The app doesn't replace the police and can't block calls. It creates something else: a shared plan before things get serious.

HOW SOCKPROTECT WORKS

A family creates a group – grandparents, parents, adult children. Every day, a new family code word is created that only the members know.

If a suspicious call comes in – supposedly from the police, an accident, an urgent money drop – the senior taps "Verify call." The family immediately receives a push notification and can respond with a selfie: "It's really me – hang up." If the selected person doesn't answer within a few minutes, the alert goes out to all other family members. No one has to make this decision alone.

WHAT WE'RE HONEST ABOUT

ShockProtection cannot block calls and does not promise 100% protection. The most important aspect comes during setup: “What do we do if someone calls and says I've had an accident?” Discussing this question calmly is more valuable than any technology.


DATA PROTECTION

– Developed in Germany, servers in Frankfurt am Main
– No advertising, no tracking, no data sales
– No Firebase Analytics, no Crashlytics, no Sentry
– No access to phonebook, location, or call logs
– Selfies are automatically deleted after a maximum of 30 hours
