About this app

DropForge sends files straight from one device to another: phone to phone, or between your phone and your computer. Every transfer is end-to-end encrypted.

DIRECT, DEVICE TO DEVICE
• Files go straight from the sender's device to the receiver's.
• On the same Wi-Fi network, devices connect to each other directly.
• Across the internet, DropForge links the two devices so the transfer still goes device to device.
• File contents and file names never pass through or stay on our servers.

END-TO-END ENCRYPTED
• Every transfer is encrypted with X25519 key agreement and AES-256-GCM.
• Each device's key is pinned once it's paired.

YOUR DEVICES AND FRIENDS
• Pair your phones and computers once, then tap Connect to send.
• Add friends and give them nicknames and avatars.
• Mark a sender as Trusted to receive their files automatically, or review each incoming transfer before you accept it.

SEND TO ANYONE BY EMAIL
• The other person doesn't have DropForge? Send by email and they open a link in their browser to receive the files.

CLOUD PICKUP (SUBSCRIPTION)
• If the other device is offline, an encrypted copy can wait for up to 8 days and is deleted as soon as it's picked up. We never hold the key, so we can't open it.

RECEIVE IN THE BACKGROUND
• DropForge can keep running in the background so incoming files arrive even when the app isn't open. Notifications are optional.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• No ads, no analytics, no tracking.
• Received files are saved to Downloads/DropForge.
• DropForge doesn't ask for access to your files, location, camera, or microphone.

Works with DropForge for Windows. A SendForge account is required. Paid features are available as a subscription through Google Play.
