Can you see tonight's SpaceX launch from your backyard? SkyLaunch is a free rocket launch tracker for Android that answers that question with a visibility score from 0 to 10 for your exact location. No account and no ads.
It is made for families, skywatchers and photographers who want to step outside at the right minute, whether you live near the coast in California, Florida or Texas, or hundreds of miles away.
HOW THE VISIBILITY SCORE WORKS
Every upcoming SpaceX launch gets a score for where you are. A 0 means you will most likely not see the rocket. The score looks at four things:
• Distance: how far you are from the launch pad
• Sun angle: a twilight launch, just after sunset or before sunrise, can make a glowing "space jellyfish" plume that people see from hundreds of miles away
• Cloud cover: from the hourly weather forecast for your location
• Haze and visibility: smoke, fog or haze that can hide the rocket
Tap a score to see the full breakdown. The visibility score is an estimate, not a promise.

MADE BY A DAD
Joey Bolohan built SkyLaunch for his two kids. They love running outside to watch rockets light up the sky, and he wanted to know which launches were worth the trip to the backyard.
Rocket launch times change often, so check the app before you head out. Viewing guides are on the SkyLaunch blog at www.skylaunch.app.
