About this app

Skyvibe is the daily weather column your local paper stopped writing. A real written forecast every day about what the sky is going to do where you live, and why it matters.

Most weather apps hand you a dashboard of numbers and leave the interpretation to you. Skyvibe writes it out instead. Not a template with the temperature swapped in, an actual read on the day's weather for your area.

THE DAILY COLUMN
A fresh column written each morning, grounded in National Weather Service forecast data for your area. Turn on delivery and it arrives as a notification just after 7am, the way the paper used to land on the porch. Save the ones worth keeping and read them back later.

THE FORECAST
• Hour by hour: tap any hour for temp, precipitation rate, UV index, humidity, dew point, and pressure
• A 7-day forecast with highs, lows, conditions, and wind
• Active National Weather Service watches, warnings, and advisories for your area
• Almanac: the sun's daily arc with sunrise, sunset, daylight length, and solar noon data
• The moon: current phase and illumination, moonrise and moonset, and the next four primary phases
• Records and departures: how the weather stacks up against the historical normals for your location

ON YOUR HOME SCREEN
• Today's Column: your city's latest column with the current weather. It refreshes as each new edition is published, and a tap opens the full column.
• Conditions: a small, glanceable widget in the colors of the sky outside.

Both widgets are free. Today's Column can follow any Skyvibe city: pick one in the widget's settings.

• The evening edition, a second column each afternoon once the day has shown its hand, delivered at 5pm if you want it
• The full 14-day forecast instead of 7
• Unlimited saved columns (free accounts keep the 10 most recent)

NO ADS, NO ACCOUNT NEEDED
No advertising, no sponsored forecasts, no sign-up screen. Open the app and get the weather.

WHERE THE COLUMN IS WRITTEN
Each weather column is written against its own region's forecast data provided by the local NWS field office, so coverage grows one metro area at a time. Skyvibe currently writes for 46 U.S. metro areas, new regions are added regularly, and the current coverage map lives at skyvibewx.com.
Everything else in the app works anywhere in the United States.

SUBSCRIPTION
Skyvibe Pro is available as a monthly subscription at $4.99 per month or an annual subscription at $29.99 per year. Both start with a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Google Play account at confirmation of purchase, and the subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel your subscription in the Google Play app under Subscriptions.

What’s new

New: two home screen widgets. Today's Column shows your city's latest column with the current weather and opens the full column with a tap, and you can pin it to any Skyvibe city. Conditions shows the current weather in the colors of the sky.

Also fixed: italic text now uses Skyvibe's serif italic throughout the app, instead of your phone's default font.
