Not for everyone. Enigo is a game of truly hard logic puzzles, riddles and brain teasers: no luck, no shortcuts, no cheap tricks. Just your head.
Enigo, an Adélie penguin, travels on an iceberg called Bienvenue, from the South Pole to the North Pole. Along the way, whoever crosses his path asks him for help with a problem. You solve it in his notebook.
HARD, BUT FAIR
270 brain teasers across nine worlds, from half a star to five, in nearly fifty different kinds: logic grids, weighings on a balance, river crossings, water-pouring puzzles, bridges between islets, pieces sliding across the ice, mirrors and beams of light, matchstick puzzles made of icicles, cryptarithms, truth-tellers and liars, nonograms, geometry, codes… Every puzzle has exactly one solution, checked by computer, and it gives way to an idea, not to a trick or to endless trial and error.
SMARTER THAN A PENGUIN?
The first puzzles give way to one good idea. At five stars, they show no mercy: they call for paper, pencil and patience. And Enigo only reaches the North Pole if you solve them.
NO HURRY
No clock, no lives, no energy bar to refill. Outside it is cold and everything is still: the colony on the beach, the ice, the sea. Inside, the notebook: ink, pencil and your own notes on every page.
HELP, ONLY IF YOU ASK
Blanche, a snow petrel, keeps three hints for every puzzle, each one clearer than the last. And once you have solved it, the explanation and the idea behind it: what you take with you to the next one.
FROST AND THE EXTRAS
Every puzzle you solve earns you frost. With it you unlock ten extra puzzles, “Astrolabio's nights”: the puzzles the oldest emperor penguin in the colony thought up on his winter nights.
ADS, KEPT TO A MINIMUM
Nothing interrupts a puzzle. When you leave one, an ad sometimes appears: at most one every ten minutes of play. The rest are videos you choose to watch: for a hint, to see the solution to a puzzle that won't give in, or for a little more frost. And with «No ads», there are none at all, for good.
READ IN COMFORT
Choose your typeface: your phone's, the notebook's, a highly legible one or one designed for dyslexia. Make it up to twice the size. Colours always come with a shape, so nothing depends on colour alone.
A REAL VOYAGE
Pointe Géologie, the Astrolabe Glacier, the South Orkney Islands, the Galápagos, Greenland… Real places and real animals, doing what they really do, between one puzzle and the next.
A game of wits for those who enjoy thinking slowly.
