The main purpose of this book is to trace the development of safe and smart cities of Pakistan. Technology Oriented Policing (TOP) in Pakistan is a way to do it. This book, a part of which is also included in my doctoral research thesis completed in 2022, discusses how it will be able to improve the quality of service for the people in urban centres primarily but some of the components are already improving the Policing in all over the province of the Punjab. It is also important to analyze this change management along with the processes and procedures, practiced during the implementation of the Lahore Safe City Project and to measure the early results of this endeavor and draw some practical lessons for the future. It is narrated elsewhere as well, but it is also important to highlight that safe and smart cities concept has started by Police in Pakistan but it has larger implications and scope for reshaping the urban centres of Pakistan. Earlier the better.
