CAMdroid 2D is a handy graphical interface for generating G-Code profiles from engineering drawings. It can calculate intersection and tangent points using only the data commonly found on engineering drawings.
With the use of ‘Action keys’ like 'Line', 'Arc' and 'Join' plus many more, you can generate G-Code using a simple graphical interface imputing only the known data from the drawing, with instant graphical feedback of progress as you input data.
Pressing a yellow 'Action key' will set the help button to that action where examples can be viewed, a tap on the help key will give help on the current action, a long press will give general help.
The inspect section shows extensive data on each feature including start, finish, centre, tangency, length, angle etc. and the run section can step through each line of the generated G-Code.
G-Code files may be transferred (depending on your devices ability to do so) to an SD card via a File Manager and USB adaptor or directly ‘punched’ from CAMdroid to the CNC using a compatible USB serial cable and adaptors. Please note that I cannot guarantee that these methods will work as they are dependent on your device.
Your device must have a touch screen and Android 5.0 or later OS and a 400 x 800 hdpi display or better.
