About this app

Stiva is a read it later app that turns the noise of the internet into a calm, offline library. Save any web article or page in one tap, build your reading list, and read it later distraction-free — no account, no ads, no subscription.

Looking for a Pocket or Instapaper alternative you actually own? Stiva keeps your saved articles on your device, not on someone's server.

Born from my own need to fight digital frenzy, this read it later app does one thing well: it gives your most important readings a safe, calm, distraction-free place to live, ready to read offline with full focus. In Italian, a "stiva" is the cargo hold of a ship — the space built to protect precious cargo on a long journey.

Why Stiva Is Different (No Subscription)
I'm tired of monthly fees for every small utility, so I built Stiva on a different model. The core — saving, reading, and organizing — is free, and always will be. If you want advanced tools for studying or listening, or you simply want to support independent work, you can unlock the Premium features with a single one-time purchase. No recurring costs, no tricks.

How Your Purchase Works
Your purchase permanently unlocks every Premium feature of the current major version (Stiva 1.x) and all of its future updates. If a full new generation ever ships (Stiva 2), you're free to decide whether to move up or keep your version, with your unlocked features intact forever.

Main Features — Free For Everyone
📖 100% offline library: save and bookmark web pages and articles; Stiva extracts the text and stores it in your device's local database, ready to read anywhere.
📚 Unlimited archive: save as many articles to read later as your device can hold.
☁️ Private cloud sync: no server of mine ever sees your data. Stiva uses your own Google Drive or Dropbox as a private bridge to sync articles across devices.
🎧 Native text-to-speech: no time to read? Listen to any article in the background, with controls right on your lock screen.
🔍 Smart organization: group your reading list with custom tags, and search your saved links by title or domain.

Save Articles From Your Computer
Reading on your PC? Use the official Chrome extension — a lightweight web clipper — to send articles straight to your phone in one click. Sync happens privately through your own cloud, never through external servers.

Stiva Free vs Premium
If you just want a clean place to save links and read offline, the free version is complete and final. If you study, research, or want extended listening, there's a Premium package.

✔️ Free, for everyone:
• saving, offline reading, and cloud sync (unlimited)
• basic search (title and domain)
• single-article audio playback
• highlights, notes, and citations (up to 10 articles)
• PDF / Markdown export (up to 3 documents)

💎 Premium, one-time purchase:
• full-text search inside article bodies
• audio playback with a seamless sequential playlist
• unlimited highlights, notes, and citations, plus search inside your notes
• unlimited PDF / Markdown export
• immersive focus mode for distraction-free reading

Total Privacy, Direct Support
Stiva is my independent project. No account to create, no data sold, no ads. If a site isn't parsed correctly, write to me — your feedback reaches me directly, and I work on the app constantly.

Download Stiva and turn scattered links into a calm, focused reading habit.

Read better, one article at a time.

What’s new

Now fully offline
Reading fonts come with the app instead of being downloaded. Stiva works without a connection, right from the first launch.

A smoother playlist
Quicker controls and cleaner moves from one article to the next, for anyone who listens for a long stretch with the phone in their pocket.

- Pick the folder where your backup is saved
- If the voice mispronounces an article, you say which language it is in
- Various fixes and more stability
