About this app

Indigenous Peer Support / Anonymous Chats / Emergency Alerts

Need to chat about something you can’t share with friends or family? Feeling stressed, anxious, worried, or alone with your thoughts? Talking Stick is a safe space where you can connect anonymously with Indigenous peers who understand you. Real people who will listen without judging. Feeling heard and listened to by someone who shares your culture, language, and experiences can really help.

Talking Stick is:
• Free to use
• Always anonymous – you will never need to create an account, share your email, or be asked to sign in
• Created by Indigenous People, for Indigenous People
• More than just peer support …!

Chat Anonymously with Indigenous Peers

Chat for free - anytime, day or night, with an Indigenous Peer Advocate who is ready to listen. It's a safe, confidential space where you can chat anonymously and freely, with a real person who understands your culture, background, and language. No usernames, no logins - just real, honest conversation. Every chat is completely anonymous and gets deleted the moment it ends. Our peers are here for you. You can chat as much as you want, as many times as you need to. And it’s always available, 24/7, every day of the year.
Remember, Peer Advocates are not crisis counsellors or mental health professionals. If you’re in immediate danger, call 911.

Chat Anonymously with Service Providers (New!)

Search and connect anonymously with health providers, family services, legal, or community program resources through our Special Teams option. Nervous or afraid to ask a question? Use Talking Stick Special Teams to start a chat with experts from Friendship Centres, Wellness Programs and more. They here to answer your questions and help you find the right services and support in Saskatchewan. We're adding more service providers regularly so be sure to check back often!

Stay Safe and Informed with Emergency Alerts

Want to receive emergency alerts about missing persons, public safety or natural disasters? Subscribe to FirstAlerts and stay informed about emergencies from nations that matter to you. Even if your phone is on silent, you’ll get alerts and up to date information that keep you and your loved ones safe.

In crisis?
Contact a professional or call 911. Talking Stick is not a crisis line.
