About this app

ToneWright is a music workshop in your pocket: warm wooden rooms, one
instrument in each, and everything plays the moment you touch it.

NINE REAL INSTRUMENTS
Every one is built from recordings of the real thing, and laid out the
way the real thing is played. Resize the keys, retune the strings, make
it fit your hands.
• Piano, with pedal, scales and arpeggios
• Drums, a full kit with hi-hat pedal and cymbal choke
• Guitar, strum or pick, bend the strings and let them ring
• Kalimba, 17 or 21 clear singing tines
• Handpan, hammered steel tuned to gentle scales
• Violin, four bowed strings
• Xylophone, with rolls and glissandos
• Guzheng, 21 strings you can press and bend
• Accordion, three reed voices and breathing bellows

LEAD A BAND
The Percussion Band puts a small animated rhythm section on stage. Samba,
salsa, folk and toybox kits, and the players really strike what you hear.
Draw a groove on the grid, press play, watch them work.

CONDUCT AN ORCHESTRA
Raise the baton and lead winds, brass, strings and timpani through real
conducting patterns. Your hand keeps the time. The orchestra follows it,
faster or slower, louder or softer.

LEARN A SONG
A hundred folk tunes and classics, taught note by falling note: the song
streams toward you and you play what arrives. Short parts, a gentle
pace, and it remembers where you stopped.

MAKE A SONG
Draw a melody over a beat in the Song Maker. Keep it on the shelf, hand
it to any instrument, or export it as audio.

KEEP EVERY TAKE
Whatever you play can be saved, replayed on the turntable, and exported
as MP3 or WAV. Love one take? Make it your ringtone.
