Atwiza is a non-profit volunteering app designed for Mauritania, fully available in Arabic, French, and English. It exists for a simple reason: real community work deserves to be seen—and recognized.
Whether you have an hour, a Saturday morning, or a full-fledged campaign in mind, Atwiza helps you find your fellow volunteers and document what you've accomplished together.
For Volunteers:
• Discover initiatives near you on a map or in a list—filtered by region, area, date, and whether they are in-person or remote.
• Browse the pages of organizations and other volunteers before you join. Public profiles let you see who you'll be working alongside.
• Prove you're there: Every shared photo is taken directly within the app, stamped with fresh GPS coordinates, and cryptographically signed. Uploading photos from your gallery is prohibited by design.
• Receive a digital certificate at the end of each completed initiative—it has a QR code that anyone can scan for verification. Download it as a PDF, share it as an image. • Share your impact card on WhatsApp so your family and friends can see—and perhaps even join—what you're doing.
• Use the full version of Atwiza in Arabic (full right-to-left writing support), French, or English—whenever and however you like.
For organizations and public entities:
• Publish your initiative in four guided steps: title and areas (up to three), cover image, description and required skills, and then time and place—in person on a map, or remotely for virtual campaigns.
• Choose your reach: national level, or limited to your state for community-level work.
• Recruit volunteers, contact them via WhatsApp when they authorize you, and maintain a transparent list for everyone.
• Document the actual result: Take before/after photos with the security camera so the change is visible, not just claimed.
• Complete the cycle by recording attendance, hours, impact markers, and a brief description—the report speaks for itself based on the work you actually did. After three completed initiatives, your organization receives its own verifiable certificate—a public mark of sustained commitment to the community.
What sets Atwiza apart:
No points. No rankings. No tracking chains. Just documented hours and tangible results you contributed to.
Every photo has a fresh GPS coordinate and a cryptographic signature using the Ed25519 algorithm, ensuring its authenticity remains independently verifiable—today and for years to come.
Every certificate has a QR code that anyone, anywhere, can scan to verify its authenticity.
No ads. No paid subscriptions. No tracking for advertising purposes. Atwiza is a non-profit project, built in Mauritania, for Mauritania.
If you've ever wished your volunteering—or your organization's work—would count for more than just a photo on a phone, this app is for you. Welcome.
