Uyen is your AI conversation partner for language practice.

Practice speaking a new language out loud. Start with a hello or choose an everyday setting, then talk with Uyen in the language you are learning. When you get stuck, use the language you know. Uyen helps you find the words and keep talking.

Read a translation under each reply. Tap a word to look it up, mark it known, mark it as needs more use, or hide it. Ask for a simpler restatement, or use a typed reply. Corrections happen within the conversation so you can try again while the context is still fresh. A few turns after a correction, Uyen asks a question that gives you a chance to say it right.

Your vocabulary grows from words you use in conversation. Each word shows up to three bars as you use it on your own over days. Words that are due, words you mark, and words you get wrong appear in Your focus. Uyen asks questions that give you a chance to say them, when they fit the topic. After you use a marked word on your own three times, it leaves the list. Each language keeps its own conversations and progress.

Practice Norwegian Bokmål, Spanish from Spain, international English, French from France, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Mandarin with Simplified Chinese and optional pinyin, Vietnamese, Japanese with optional romaji, or Modern Standard Arabic with an optional Latin reading. Sign in with Google or Apple to sync progress and use credits. New accounts receive a one-time welcome grant of 150 credits. Without a subscription, you can also claim 100 free credits each UTC day while the shared daily pool lasts, so claim early. Talk and helpers spend credits by usage; fast back-and-forth uses credits faster than slow talk. Audio and selected text are sent through Uyen’s hosted service while you practice. Uyen does not save raw audio.

Subscriptions and purchases

Practice uses credits. You can buy one-time credit packs, or a monthly auto-renewable subscription sold by Google Play:

• Uyen Student Monthly — 1 month — 5,500 credits each period, sessions up to 30 minutes, and history older than 24 hours stays available. US $49.99 per month (price may vary by storefront).

• Uyen Professional Monthly — 1 month — 12,000 credits each period, sessions up to 60 minutes, and history older than 24 hours stays available. US $99.99 per month (price may vary by storefront).

Payment is charged to your Google account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Google Play. The 150-credit welcome grant is a one-time gift, not a paid trial. Purchased credits do not expire.
