Vayu tracks any flight, live, right from your home screen — no app-switching, no refreshing, no waiting.
Once you start tracking, Vayu shows you everything: departure and arrival airports, live position on a map, ETA countdown, distance covered, and a status pill that floats above your home screen so you never have to open the app to check.

WHAT IT DOES
• Live flight tracking — real ADS-B position, updated every 30 seconds
• Home screen overlay pill — shows flight route and ETA above any app
• Interactive map — live aircraft position with great-circle route arc and distance-based zoom
• Full stats — total route distance, distance covered, departure and arrival times, delay chip
• Gate and terminal info — shown when available, so you know exactly where to go
• Flight history and favourites — your most-tracked flights, one tap away
• Settings — 12h/24h time format, km/miles distance unit, all stored locally
• Works worldwide — commercial flights on any airline, any route, any country

HOW IT WORKS
Search any flight number (BA249, EK203, QR007 — whatever you need). Vayu looks up the live ADS-B position and schedule data simultaneously, then builds a complete picture: where the aircraft is right now, how far it has to go, what time it lands, and whether it's running late.
Optionally, the home screen pill toggle can be turned on once the tracking starts. It floats above your home screen — you can drag it anywhere, dismiss it with a swipe, and it snaps back to the edge when you let go. You never have to open Vayu to know what's happening with your flight.

NO ADS. NO PAYWALL. NO ACCOUNT.
Vayu will never show you an ad. There is no premium tier. There is no free trial. It does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number — because it has absolutely no reason to. You search a flight. You track it. That's the whole thing.

THE STORY
I built Vayu because I was tired of refreshing a website every three minutes waiting for someone's flight to land. I'm a developer — there had to be a better way. So I made one.
This is my first app. I built it to scratch my own itch, not to sell it. Turns out I wasn't the only one with the itch.
The data powering every live update isn't free — I pay for it out of pocket every month. If Vayu has ever got you to arrivals at the right time, a coffee keeps the servers on.

PERMISSIONS
• Draw over other apps — required for the home screen overlay pill
• Foreground service — required to keep the overlay running while you use other apps
• Internet — required to fetch live flight data
• Notifications — required by Android for foreground services (shows a persistent tracking notification)
